We talked with Coach Howanitz about NIL and the transfer portal and college and high school football in general.
George gives us his perspective as a Coach and a father on Sports recruiting.

George Howanitz is the current Track & Field Coach at Valley View High School.
He was the quarterback of the 1992 Valley View Football State Championship team where he was All-Regional QB & 1st team all-state DB. He was a 2023 NEPA Sports Hall of Fame Inductee. He was a defensive back from 1993-1996 At Bucknell University where he was 1st team all Patriot League. George has 2 sons playing Division One sports, one playing Football at the University of Pittsburgh and Another playing baseball at Boston College.
